Mount the Radar

The TRACKR RADAR should be mounted securely with some combination of the provided mounting bracket, inserts, and straps or a third party mount with a Wahoo-compatible mounting interface.

The unit must be mounted so that there is nothing obstructing the rear face of the tail light, to allow for the radar to function properly.  Seat bags, racks, or, in the case of small frames, rear tires located between the tail light and approaching vehicles may result in false positive readings, or prevent the TRACKR RADAR from sensing approaching vehicles.  If you are receiving false positive readings or missing vehicles approaching, adjust the position of the mount, and remove any potential obstructions at the rear of your bicycle.

Third party mount compatibility

TRACKR RADAR is not compatible with radar mounts made for Garmin radar units, unless the mount offers a replaceable Wahoo-compatible puck.

TRACKR RADAR uses the Wahoo computer quarter turn mounting standard, different from the pre-existing Garmin mounting standard.  TRACKR RADAR mounting tabs are thicker and have a different detent point shape than Garmin radars, using them in a mount made for a Garmin radar may damage the TRACKR RADAR mount point and/or the Garmin mount.

Aftermarket TRACKR RADAR mounting options are available. KOM Cycling offers a variety of mount types that should include replaceable Wahoo-compatible quarter turn pucks.
