Connecting a KICKR / KICKR BIKE / ROLLR using Direct Connect (DIRCON)

This article will provide instructions for connecting a Wahoo KICKR v5(2020), v6 (2022), KICKR BIKE v2 (2022), or ROLLR using DIRCON to the app. For other trainer connections, please refer to our Connect your Trainer (Compatibility Tool) to find out how to connect your trainer. DIRCON is only available for connections to Bluetooth-enabled Mac and Windows at this time.

In order for the app to report data and control the trainer, trainers and sensors will need to be connected to the app from the device connections screen in the workout player.

Select your workout from the Calendar or the Workout List and press the Start Workout button.

This will launch the Device Connections screen. If your screen does not open automatically, please tap the gear icon in the top right corner of your page. Please ensure that your screen says that Bluetooth is ON. Bluetooth is a requirement for DIRCON at this time. If Bluetooth is OFF, please use an ANT+ connection

Connect your DIRCON adapter to your KICKR and connect it to your router or to an ethernet port on your computer. (If using an ethernet port on your computer, you must be using the SYSTM app on the same computer).

Selecting and Connecting your Trainer

Clicking on the Add Devices button will open a second panel on the Device Connections screen. You will see the KICKR appear with a DIRCON icon rather than Bluetooth. A Bluetooth connection to the KICKR is not possible while DIRCON is set up. Please select the Wahoo KICKR DIRCON connection.  ANT+ is still available as a connection possibility.  DO NOT CONNECT BOTH.
