The Audio Alerts feature offers both general and custom spoken alerts that can be set independently for each workout profile at Home > [Settings] > Workout Profiles > workout profile > Alerts .
Audio Alerts are created and modified for each Workout Profile at the workout profile level.
Audio Alerts are offered in languages supported by the Wahoo app. If a local language is not supported, alerts will default to English.
Requirements
Wahoo app version 6.15.0

Custom alert components
Triggers
A custom alert with your preferred information value can be triggered by any of the following status changes:
-
Workout Start
- When the workout is started, played only once.
-
Workout Pause
- Whenever the workout is paused, either according to auto-pause or manually selecting the Pause button in workout.
-
Workout Resume
- Whenever the workout is resumed, either from auto-pause or manually selecting the Resume button in workout.
-
Lap
- Whenever a lap is recorded, either according to preset auto-lap settings or manually selecting the Lap button in workout.
-
Duration (active time)
- At a fixed repeating interval of active time, set to the nearest second.
-
Distance (active distance)
- At a fixed, repeating interval of active distance, set the to the nearest hundredth of your chosen distance unit (mile or kilometer).
Intervals
Alerts tied to Duration and Distance are set to repeat at a fixed, repeating interval
-
Duration (active time)
- The interval for active time can be set to the nearest second value. (ex. 1:13, every 1 minute and 13 seconds)
-
Distance (active distance)
- The interval for active distance can be set to the nearest hundredth of your chosen distance unit (ex. every .42 miles or .57 kilometers).
Placing repeating triggers in a shorter interval than the selected information values can be played will result in errors or some truncation of values.
Information categories / value labels
You can choose any single information value (or multiple values) to be played at a given trigger.
Example: Play lap average pace and lap average heart rate when triggered by 1 mile auto-lap intervals.
When an information value is played, it will be presented as information label + information category + information value.
Example: Lap average heart rate 147
If a information value does not have a fixed unit (i.e. distance could be miles or kilometers), the unit will also be played.
Example; Lap total distance 3.2 miles
