KICKR HEADWIND Firmware 2.0.43 - 17 March 2026

  • Added: Bluetooth low energy (BLE) sensor support
  • Added: Control from Power Meter or Smart Trainer (bike power sensor)
  • Added: Control from KICKR RUN and Running Speed Sensors (run foot pod sensor)
    Added: Control from CORE Body Temperature Sensors
  • Added: Adaptive cooling - combine data from multiple active sensors for optimized cooling. 
  • Updated: Wahoo App UI

WARNING: Current HEADWIND settings may be reset after update. Please reconfigure in the Wahoo app
NOTES:

  • Firmware update may require multiple attempts especially on newer phones
  • New modes must be selected from Wahoo App
  • Legacy modes (HR, Speed, and Manual control) can still be configured and selected from HEADWIND buttons.

  • Added support for Bluetooth Multi Peripheral (allows connections for up to 3 devices)

 

KICKR HEADWIND Firmware v1.0.2 - 9 September 2018

  • Direct ANT+ control
  • Added support for Heart Rate and Speed mode standby states: after 3 minutes of inactivity the fan and LED lights are powered off. Power resumes when the last paired sensor is in range and activated, allowing the sensor to start and power down KICKR HEADWIND without touching a button.
