In the ELEMNT app
- Ensure your ELEMNT is paired to the ELEMNT app.
- Ensure the shifter/derailleur is awake and near the computer.
- Navigate to the Settings page and then scroll down to and select Set up sensors.
- Hold the computer near the wireless component (inline adapter or rear derailleur, depending on drivetrain).
- Select the shifter you wish to pair* and then confirm the pairing.
*Shimano Di2 systems will display as Shimano Di2. SRAM eTap / AXS and others will display as Gear Selection.
Setting gear configuration in the ELEMNT app (SRAM eTap / AXS only)

Troubleshooting
Sensor details battery level or data-field battery or gear selection data
- Ensure that your computer is up to date on current firmware.
- Forget/re-pair the drivetrain as a sensor.
Gear selection/configuration data
In order to ensure future ride summaries reflect the correct gear configurations,
- Ensure your computer firmware and ELEMNT app are up to date.
- Follow the steps above to confirm/change the gear configuration of your SRAM eTap/AXS drivetrain.
- Forget/re-pair the rear derailleur as a sensor.
ELEMNT computer control with Di2
Most issues are due to button customization in the Shimano E-Tube Project app. ELEMNT computers are designed to work with the default settings.
- Ensure that the shifter hood buttons do not already have a function designated to them in the E-Tube Project app, leaving them open.
- Reset Di2 settings to default configuration in the app to restore functionality. The left hood button should be configured for ch. 1 and the right hood button should be configured to ch. 2.
ELEMNT computer control with SRAM AXS
- The AXS rear derailleur must be paired to the ELEMNT computer as a Gear Selection sensor.
- In the SRAM AXS app, the buttons should be mapped as follows:
- Left Blip Short/Long Press to ANT+ Function 1.
- Right Blip Short/Press Press to ANT+ Function 2.
- Simultaneous Short Press to ANT+ Function 3
- Forget and re-pair the rear derailleur as a sensor.
