For Wahoo X subscribers, Wahoo now offers a daily recommendations for cycling, strength, or yoga workouts, guided by your recent workout history and future workout calendar on the Today tab of the Wahoo app and the Home tab of the SYSTM app. The recommendations can be customized based on available time and motivation, fatigue, and stress levels.
Cycling workouts can be completed in the Wahoo app without videos or in SYSTM with the full video experience. Strength and Yoga workouts must be completed in the SYSTM app.
Requirements
- In order to receive a workout recommendations
- You must have Recommended workouts toggled on in the Wahoo app > Today tab > Settings > Training Preferences
- You must not have a planned workout scheduled in the next two days (today/tomorrow).
- In order to not disrupt your structured training, we will not suggest a workout
- In order to access the structured workouts suggested by the app, you must have a paid subscription to the Wahoo X platform (or actively be in a free trial period).
- When accessed from the Wahoo app, cycling workouts can be completed in the Wahoo app, on an ELEMNT computer, or in the SYSTM app for iOS, Android, MacOS [Intel / Apple Silicon], or Windows.
- When accessed from the SYSTM app, all workout types are launched in the SYSTM app.
- In order to access the video content in cycling workouts, they must be completed in the SYSTM app. In order to access the strength and yoga workouts, which also provide videos, you must use the SYSTM app.
Setup
- Setup can only be completed in the Wahoo app.
- Navigate in the Wahoo app to the Today tab > Settings > Training preferences.
- Toggle Recommended Workouts on.
- Select any sports that apply in the list above the toggle.
- Return to the Today tab and the 'Recommended for you' panel should appear. Pull to refresh the tab, if necessary.
For the best recommendations, connect your Strava and Zwift accounts to auto-upload completed activities to your Wahoo account history, so the Wahoo app / SYSTM has a complete understanding of your training load. You can also manually upload individual activity files from other third party sources. For more details see:

Use
- Recommended workouts appear on the Today tab of the Wahoo app and the Home tab of the SYSTM app.
- Select the Adjust button to set the parameters for recommendations based on time interval and your motivation, fatigue, and stress levels.
- Select the Alternates button to cycle through up to seven workouts that fit your defined parameters.
- If you are a Wahoo X member, selecting the a workout from the Recommendations panel in the Wahoo app will offer to open cycling workouts in the Wahoo app, SYSTM, or send to an ELEMNT computer.
- If you are a Wahoo X member, selecting a workout from the panel in the SYSTM app will bring up the workouts details screen, ready to launch the workout.
- If you are not a Wahoo X member, selecting a workout in either app will prompt you to start a trial (if available) or subscribe to the Wahoo X membership.
- When you have a structured workout planned for the next two days (today/tomorrow) the panel will be absent.
- If you have completed < 30 minutes of a cycling workout today, a cycling workout will be presented.
- If you have completed > 30 minutes of a cycling workout, a cross-training workout (strength or yoga will be presented.
Hide the Recommendations panel
- Navigate in the Wahoo app to the Today tab > Settings > Training preferences
- Toggle Recommended Workouts off.
Notes
- The app currently only offers cycling, strenth, and yoga workout recommendations. If you'd like to see others added, please let us know by reaching out to our support team.
