Record an activity (ride, run, workout) in the Wahoo app

To record a new activity, navigate in to the Record tab at the bottom of the screen.

Data Sources

When you select the Record tab, a Data Sources screen will pop up, providing the option to confirm/change the workout profile and sensor selected for each data type offered by that workout profile before starting the recording. Make any changes and then select (X) in the upper left hand corner to access the Record screen itself.

Set/change workout profile

If for some reason you did not select your desired Workout profile on the Data Sources screen, you can select your desired Workout profile using the Profile button in the bottom left corner prior to workout start.  You cannot change the workout profile once you have started a workout.

Starting a workout

You can start the workout recording by selecting the Start button in the bottom center of the screen.  You can set a countdown timer in the selected Workout profile settings by selecting the Settings (gear icon) button in the top right corner.

Data page types

Most workouts will contain Workout, Lap, and Average pages with data fields relevant to the activity type. Outdoor workouts will also contain a Map page. Pages cannot be reordered, added, removed. Individual page data fields cannot be removed or replaced.

Some workout profiles will have contextually specific screens, like Running Dynamics (in the Running workout profile, when a TICKR X is paired), Power (when using Cycling) or Trainer Control (in the Indoor Cycling workout profile when Wahoo KICKR smart trainer or BIKE is paired).

Auto-lap

In the same way, if a workout type supports auto-lap, you can toggle this on/off in the selected Workout profile settings (see above) by selecting the Settings (gear icon) button in the top right corner.

Pause, Save, and End a workout

Once a workout has been started, you can pause the workout using the Pause button in the bottom middle of the screen.  Once paused, you can Resume or End the workout. When you end the workout, you will be prompted again to Resume, Save or Discard the workout. Before saving the workout, you can change the title of the workout, write notes which will be visible only to you, and select third party services with which you wish to share the activity.
