ERG Mode explained KICKR/MOVE/CORE [tsg]

ERG Mode explained

ERG mode allows you, the rider, to maintain a consistent power output during indoor training. Instead of adjusting resistance based on speed or virtual terrain, ERG mode sets a target power level, and the trainer automatically adjusts resistance to keep you at that wattage. This feature enables precise and structured workouts, making it ideal for interval training or following specific power-based training plans. ERG mode allows you to focus on hitting your power targets without worrying about adjusting resistance manually.

If you slow down your pedaling, the trainer will increase resistance to reach the target wattage in the workout. If the target is not met, the resistance can increase to an impossible level. If this happens, it can be resolved by coasting for a few seconds; then, the resistance will release, allowing you to resume your interval.
