Use electronic drivetrains with ELEMNT ACE, BOLT 3, or ROAM 3

Third generation ELEMNT GPS bike computers (ELEMNT ACE, BOLT 3, and ROAM 3) support some ELEMNT button control, current gear and battery level data in sensor details and data fields, and some historical gear selection data in activity history when paired with with Shimano Di2 , SRAM eTap/AXS, Campagnolo EPS, and FSA K-Force WE drivetrains. Some sub-features will vary by computer or electronic drivetrain.

Setup

To configure the drivetrain's tooth counts, once it has been paired to your ELEMNT computer

Troubleshooting

ELEMNT computer control with Di2

Most issues are due to button customization in the Shimano E-Tube Project app.  ELEMNT computers are designed to work with the default settings.

  1. Ensure that the shifter hood buttons do not already have a function designated to them in the E-Tube Project app, leaving them open.
  2. Reset Di2 settings to default configuration in the app to restore functionality.  The left hood button should be configured for ch. 1 and the right hood button should be configured to ch. 2.

ELEMNT computer control with SRAM AXS

  1. The AXS rear derailleur must be paired to the ELEMNT computer as a Gear Selection sensor.
  2. In the SRAM AXS app, the buttons should be mapped as follows:
    1. Left Blip Short/Long Press to ANT+ Function 1.
    2. Right Blip Short/Press Press to ANT+ Function 2.
    3. Simultaneous Short Press to ANT+ Function 3
  3. Forget and re-pair the rear derailleur as a sensor.

Sensor details battery level or data-field battery or gear selection data

  1. Ensure that your computer is up to date on current firmware.
  2. Forget/re-pair the drivetrain as a sensor.

Gear selection/configuration data

In order to ensure future ride summaries reflect the correct gear configurations,

  1. Ensure your computer firmware and WAHOO app are up to date.
  2. Follow the steps above to confirm/change the gear configuration of your SRAM eTap/AXS drivetrain.
  3. Forget/re-pair the rear derailleur as a sensor.
