What Accessories Do I Need to Use the KICKR SNAP?

The accessories required for the KICKR SNAP depend on use. To start, the KICKR SNAP must be plugged in to provide resistance so you'll at least need access to an electrical outlet.

If you're uninterested in speed or power data and just want resistance alone, you'll only need:

  1. A compatible bicycle (see: compatible bikes)
To get power and speed readings from the KICKR SNAP, you'll need:
  1. A compatible bicycle (see: compatible bikes)
  2. A compatible iOS or Android Bluetooth enabled device to read data
For the ultimate experience (full data monitoring and resistance control) you'll need the following:
  1. A compatible bicycle (see: compatible bikes)
  2. A device to control the KICKR. These devices include:
    • iPhone, iPad or other iOS device on iOS 12 (or newer)
    • Mac Computer with Bluetooth 4.0 (or newer)
    • Computer with ANT+ USB dongle (compatibility varies by software platform; check individual websites for compatibility)
    • Android device on Android 6 (or newer) with Bluetooth (see: compatible devices)
  3. An RPM/Cadence sensor such as the RPM or BLUE SC.
  4. A heart rate sensor like our TICKR X.
Note: the KICKR SNAP can be controlled with ANT+ or Bluetooth devices (KICKR firmware version 1.1.2 and newer) but can only be updated via Bluetooth from iOS and Android devices.
