Part number Identification

KICKR models can be identified by the Part number on the white sticker on the drive side of the flywheel plastics.

If the sticker is obscured or missing, you can visually identify KICKR Trainers using the following distinguishing features.

KICKR MOVE CORE SNAP ROLLR

 

KICKR

  • The trainer base has 3 legs. The two outer legs can be folded in toward the center using a button.

KICKR MOVE

  • The MOVE shares the same base configuration as the KICKR, but a larger lower body and main arm with a track that allows the upper body to move fore/aft.

KICKR CORE

  • The trainer has two legs, with feet that sit perpendicular to the legs.

KICKR SNAP

  • The trainer has an open frame with a cam clamp and a roller unit with an adjustment knob to receive a bike with the rear wheel on.

KICKR ROLLR

  • The trainer is a pair of rollers, with a triangle front arm to steady the front wheel.

v1 (-2015)

  • The drive side hub interface has a threaded axle that will only accept a quick release skewer.
  • The carry handle is black and low on the spine of the trainer.
  • The surface of the flywheel is flat.

v2 (2016)

  • The drive side has a threaded axle that will only accept a quick release skewer.
  • The carry handle is gray and horizontal to the ground.
  • The surface of the flywheel is flat.
  • There is a flat plastic top cap above the bike hub interface.

v3 (2017)

  • The drive side will accept a thru axle.
  • The carry handle is gray and horizontal to the ground.
  • The surface of the flywheel is flat.
  • There is an angled plastic top cap above the bike hub interface.

v4 (2018)

  • The drive side will accept a thru axle.
  • The surface of the flywheel is recessed.
  • The carry handle is gray and horizontal to the ground.
  • The top surface above the hub interface is painted metal.
  • There is NOT a direct connect port above the power plug.
  • The outer legs have hard plastic feed.

v5 (2020)

  • The drive side will accept a thru axle.
  • The surface of the flywheel is recessed.
  • The carry handle is gray and horizontal to the ground.
  • The top surface above the hub interface is painted metal.
  • There is a direct connect port above the power plug.
  • The outer legs have large multi-part feet with replaceable rubber inserts.
  • The LED lights are labeled with Bluetooth and ANT+ symbols.

v6 (2022)

  • The carry handle is gray and horizontal to the ground.
  • The top surface above the hub interface is painted metal.
