Routes - Select a location on map [ACE]

You can create a one-time-use / temporary route from your current location to a location you select on the map of ACE or ROAM 3 or in the Wahoo app

Requirements

• An ELEMNT ACE
• GPS acquired by the computer
• Your computer paired and actively connected to the Wahoo app (if using the Wahoo app)
• An internet data connection (cell data or Wi-Fi) for your phone (if using the Wahoo app)

How To

Using the map on ACE to select a location 

1. From the Ready to Ride panel or Ride page, select the Routes button.
2. Select Route to...
3. Select Select location on map.
4. Navigate on the map and select you preferred location.
5. Select Route to location or the Select button.
6. A route will be loaded onto the ACE, from you current starting point to the selected location.
   Note: The route is not saved on the computer or in your Wahoo account.

Using the map on ACE to save a location 

1. From the Ready to Ride panel or Ride page, select the Routes button.
2. Select Route to...
3. Select Saved locations.
4. Select the add (+) button.
5. Navigate on the map and select you preferred location.
6. Select Save location or the Save button.
7. Enter a name for your saved location. 
8. Select the check button.
9. Select your preferred location from the list of saved locations.
10. Select Route to location.
    Note: You can also edit the name of or delete the location.
11. A route will be loaded onto the ACE, from your current starting point to the selected location. Note: The route is not saved on the computer or in your Wahoo account, but the Saved Location is.

Using the map on the Wahoo app

1. Select the Plan tab.
2. Select My Saved Locations.
3. Select the add (+) button.
4. Navigate on the map and select your preferred location.
5. Change the location name if desired.
6. Select Add.
7. Select your preferred location from the list of saved locations.
8. When prompted Share location to ELEMNT?, select Navigate.
9. A route will be loaded onto the ACE, from your current starting point to the selected location. Note: The route is not saved on the computer or in your Wahoo account, but the Saved Location is.

Notes/Troubleshooting

• Your computer must have GPS acquired, or the Wahoo app/computer cannot create a route, because your current location is unknown.
• If using the Wahoo app, your phone must have a cell data connection, so that the Wahoo app / Wahoo Cloud can process/produce the route.
