My bike does not fit on the SNAP

Links on this page will open into new tabs to ensure you do not lose your place in the troubleshooting flow.

1. Review bicycle frame compatibility

Review the Bicycle Compatibility [SNAP] article to confirm that your bicycle is compatible with the CORE.

If compatible,

2. Confirm that you have installed the correct adapters for your bicycle hub type

The quick release that is shipped with the SNAP is compatible with most 130-135 mm spaced bicycles with quick release hubs.

Thru axle bikes require the KICKR SNAP 12x142 Thru Axle Adapter kit to convert the drive (right) side receiver cup of the SNAP to receive a thru axle, and one of three adapter thru axles designed to interface with the frame of the SNAP.
For more details on the SNAP 142 Thru Axle Adapter kit, see KICKR SNAP 12x142 Thru Axle Adapter Information and Setup.

Only 142 mm spaced frames which use standard single-lead threaded thru axles are supported by the thru axle adapter kit. Specifically double-lead thru axles (like Mavic Speed Release), and Trek Thru-skew axles are not supported.  Additionally, some bicycles may have features that prevent the effective use of the adapters. For more information, see Thru Axle Compatibility Issues [SNAP]

If you are unsure of the proper width value, take a ruler and measure from the inside edge of your bike frame rear dropouts (where the wheel is inserted into the frame) to the other.

3. Confirm proper installation of the bike

See How do I Attach My Bike to the KICKR SNAP? to review proper installation of a bicycle with either quick release or thru axle adapters.
