In order to ensure your KICKR is on the correct firmware version, you will need to connect to the Wahoo Utility app, which can be found in the Google Play store.
To update the firmware, you will need to connect via Bluetooth. Find your KICKR in the device list and tap to connect. Once connected, the app will populate the firmware version in the first tile. If the firmware is not the latest version, you will see the text "Upgrade Required".
If you do require a firmware update, tap the Upgrade Firmware button. Confirm to begin the firmware upgrade.
Leave the phone near the KICKR until the update is complete. It is not completely uncommon for the first update to fail. If this occurs simply start the process over by shutting down and reopening the Wahoo Utility app.
The app will notify you once the firmware upgrade is complete. Your Wahoo KICKR is now updated to the latest firmware and is ready to ride!
NOTE: In order to update the firmware on your KICKR you must have a Bluetooth 4.0 Android device.
