Second generation ELEMNT computers can pair and control a single GoPro action camera via Bluetooth. A GoPro Control Page is added to the end of the page stack when a compatible GoPro camera is paired as a sensor. The ELEMNT will not switch to that page automatically.

Sleep/standby/off and Reconnect
When a GoPro is actively connected, you can put the camera in sleep/standby mode using the left front button when the GoPro line item under Sensors on the Menu page or in the GoPro's sensor details page.
If Auto-Off is set to greater than 90 seconds, the computer will not go to sleep/standby mode automatically.
For Hero 9, 10, and 11 -- While asleep, either from Auto-Off, the SLEEP button on the ELEMNT, or manually turning the GoPro off, you can waken/re-connect using the CONNECT button (left front button when the GoPro line item is selected under Sensors on the Menu page, or center button when on the GoPro sensor details page or GoPro Control page. If not previously connected during the ride, connecting the camera on the his button will also make the GoPro Control page visible again.
For Hero 12, there is no CONNECT option under Sensors on the Menu page. It is found only on the sensor details page or GoPro Control page.
Due to a GoPro firmware limitation, if a Hero 12 goes to sleep/time out, the camera must be set into Quik App pairing mode again before attempting to use the CONNECT buttons on the ELEMNT.
Troubleshooting
Pairing/control connection issues
- The GoPro camera must be placed into pairing mode as described in this GoPro documentation, before pairing the camera on the ELEMNT. The camera-side pairing process for ELEMNT is the same as that of the Quik App. Failing to do so will result in a camera that appears to be paired, but will not properly connect.
- If the ELEMNT is unpaired from your phone, GoPro will need to be forgotten from the ELEMNT and re-paired to function properly.
- If a Hero 12 goes to sleep/time out, the camera must be set into pairing mode again before attempting to use the CONNECT buttons on the ELEMNT.
- Ensure your ELEMNT's firmware is up to date.
- Forget the GoPro, ensure that it is properly set in Quick App pairing mode, then re-add as a sensor on the ELEMNT.
- If unresolved, reset Wireless Connections on the GoPro and try again.
