The new Settings menu is accessed from the gear icon  in the top right corner of the home screen and contains:

Athlete profile

settings-athleteprofile-sm.png athleteprofile-crop-sm.png blanktrans300x600.png

The identity and biometric data settings previously found in the Profile tab is found in the top tab of the Settings page behind your name and email address.

Heart rate and Power Zones

Heart rate zones

settings-hrzones-sm.png hrzones-crop-sm.png blanktrans300x600.png

The heart rate zone settings previously found in the Profile tab are now found in the second section of the Settings page.  You can now create multiple heart rate zone sets, (allowing for distinct zone sets for cycling, running, and swimming) and assign each set to different Workout profiles.  The heart rate zone data can now be auto-calculated from a Threshold Heart Rate (THR) value. The Half Monty fitness assessment in our SYSTM training platform is great way to calculate an accurate THR value.

The default heart rate zone set will reflect the zone values from the previous version of the Wahoo app.  If creating a new account, the default zones set will be auto-calculated from biometric data (age).

Power zones

The power zone settings previously found in the Profile tab are now found in the second section of the Settings page.  You can now create multiple power zone sets, (allowing for distinct zone sets for cycling and running) and assign each set to different Workout profiles.

Rider type

settings-ridertype-sm.png ridertype-crop-sm.png blanktrans300x600.png

Rider type is found in the third section of the Settings page. The Wahoo app now displays your 4DP Rider Type as identified by the Full Frontal fitness assessment in our SYSTM training platform.

Workout profiles

settings-workoutprofiles-sm.png workoutprofiles-crop-sm.png blanktrans300x600.png

Workout profiles are found in the fourth section of the Settings page. Workout profile creation and customization is largely the same.

Authorized apps

settings-authorizedapps-sm.png authorizedapps-crop-sm.png blanktrans300x600.png

Authorized or Connected apps previously found in the Profile tab are now found in the fourth section of the Settings page.

You can toggle on the ability to auto-email yourself your workout as a .FIT file upon workout completion.

At first open, any previously authorized services will need to be re-authorized. Once authorized, the service will show as authorized and note what functions that 3rd party app is able to provide in this app.

The Wahoo app will now auto-share any completed workout to all Authorized apps. The only way to prevent this is to deauthorize the app. Greater sharing control is currently being addressed by our developers for a future update.

Setup guides

New video setup guides for our premium trainer products are now available in the app, found in the fourth section of the Settings page.

Sensor management

All sensor management has moved from the Settings page to the Devices tab. This tab will also pop up when you select the Record tab or can be accessed the Bluetooth button bluetoothicon.png at the top of the Record page once a workout has been started.

The My devices list contains all sensors you have paired to the app, regardless of which workout profile you currently have selected. It will show their connection status (connecting, connected, or not found). In the Record screen, the Data Sources subscreen will show all available data types associated with that workout type, if/what data is being transmitted to the app currently, and which sensor is currently transmitting that data. Sensors can be added, will provide connection status and any data being transmitted here, and can be selected as the chosen data source from this page.

Recording a workout has been moved from the Workout page to the Record tab.  The Sensors page and contextual Workout profile settings can be accessed from buttons in the top right corner.  The desired workout profile can be selected using the button in the bottom left corner.

Reviewing workout/activity history

home-history-sm.png history-crop-sm.png blanktrans300x600.png

The History and Statistics tabs have been combined into a single History tab that allows for filtering statistical data by time periods and workout profiles. Individual activity details now offer a richer experience of summary data with the ability to filter graph components by data type or period.

The Wahoo app will now auto-share any completed workout to all Authorized apps. The only way to prevent this is to deauthorize the app. Greater sharing control is currently being addressed by our developers for a future update.
