What is the CORE temperature sensor?

CORE is a wearable body temperature sensor that allows athletes to monitor their temperature in real time and record that data over the course of a workout.

What is the ELEMNT - CORE sensor integration

A CORE sensors can be paired to a BOLT v2 or ROAM v2 as its own sensor type and will provide data to the following new data fields during a ride:

  • Body Temp -- [BODY TEMP] -- Instant CORE body temperature
  • Avg Body Temp (workout) -- [AVG BODY] -- Average CORE body temperature over WORKOUT
  • Max Body Temp (workout) -- [MAX BODY] -- Maximum CORE body temperature over WORKOUT
  • Min Body Temp (workout) -- [MIN BODY] -- Minimum CORE body temperature over WORKOUT
  • Avg Body Temp (lap) -- [LAP BODY] -- Average CORE body temperature over current LAP
  • Max Body Temp (lap) -- [LAP MAX BODY] -- Maximum CORE body temperature over current LAP
  • Min Body Temp (lap) -- [LAP MIN BODY] -- Minimum CORE body temperature over current LAP

Temperature data will be written to the workout file and will be visible in the ELEMNT app and other 3rd party apps which support it.

Pairing / Setup

The CORE sensor can be paired directly to the computer or through the ELEMNT companion app. Confirm its proper functionality with the CORE app before pairing to your ELEMNT computer.

On the computer

  1. Ensure the CORE sensor is on by shaking it and then properly mounted
  2. Tap left side button to access Sensors menu
  3. Scroll down to Add Sensor.
  4. Select Add.
  5. Scroll down to select the CORE sensor.
  6. Select Save.

In the ELEMNT app

  1. Ensure the CORE sensor is on by shaking it, and the ELEMNT computer is paired to the ELEMNT Companion app.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Setup Sensors > Unsaved Sensors
  3. Identify the CORE sensor and select Save.

 Replacing Data Fields

  1. Select Settings > Pagesdesired page > desired field to be replacedBody Temperature > one of the fields listed below:
    • Body Temp -- [BODY TEMP] -- Instant CORE body temperature
    • Avg Body Temp (workout) -- [AVG BODY] -- Average CORE body temperature over WORKOUT
    • Max Body Temp (workout) -- [MAX BODY] -- Maximum CORE body temperature over WORKOUT
    • Min Body Temp (workout) -- [MIN BODY] -- Minimum CORE body temperature over WORKOUT
    • Avg Body Temp (lap) -- [LAP BODY] -- Average CORE body temperature over current LAP
    • Max Body Temp (lap) -- [LAP MAX BODY] -- Maximum CORE body temperature over current LAP
    • Min Body Temp (lap) -- [LAP MIN BODY] -- Minimum CORE body temperature over current LAP

Troubleshooting

  • Shake the CORE sensors vigorously to awaken it.
  • Ensure the CORE is charged.
  • Try forgetting and repairing the CORE sensor on the computer.
  • If unresolved, confirm functionality with the CORE app and troubleshoot the CORE sensor further with their steps.
