Using the TICKR with the Apple Watch

You are able to use the TICKR X, TICKR Run, and TICKR heart rate monitors in conjunction with the Apple Watch to provide more accurate HR data. In order to pair the Apple Watch and TICKR you will need to download the RunFit app from the App Store on both the watch and your iPhone. 

 

The process to pair the TICKR will be different depending on the devices you will have with you when working out.

 

If you will be working out without your iPhone:

  • Turn off the Bluetooth on your iPhone.
  • Navigate to watch's Bluetooth settings menu, where the TICKR will show up under Health Devices*.
  • Save the TICKR as a sensor.
  • Open the RunFit app on the Apple Watch and you'll see HR data from the TICKR.

*If you don't see the TICKR listed under Health Devices, reset your watch and it should show up for you.

 

If you will be working out with your iPhone:

  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your iPhone
  • Open the RunFit app on your iPhone.
  • Follow the prompts to pair your TICKR to the RunFit app.
  • Open the RunFit app on the Apple Watch and you'll see HR data from the TICKR.

 

Unfortunately the Apple Watch cannot be used as a heart rate monitor to display or record HR data in the RunFit or Wahoo Fitness apps.
