LED and Sound functions [ELEMNT]

The LED indicators provide a quick way to see if you’re on pace with important performance metrics like speed, heart rate, and power.

LEDs and sounds can be customized in the ELEMNT companion app Settings tab > LEDs & Sound as shown below.

Side LEDs*

Can be set to indicate speed, power or Heart Rate (HR).

    • Speed setting: The middle LED is your current average performance, LEDs rise above center (to the right on BOLT) during periods of higher than average performance and drop below (left on BOLT) during less than average performance.
    • Power or Heart Rate settings: LEDs are based on the current zone, as set in ELEMNT app.

Because ELEMNT BOLTs do not possess side LEDs, side LED functionality is combined into the BOLT's top LED display.

Top LEDs

Will flash for notifications ride start, stop, pause, etc, in planned workouts, and will move in the direction of the of an upcoming turn in when navigating. They also will indicate the current page in the left > right page stack when a page is changed.

Sounds

Can be set to play during workout pause/resume, when notifications are received, and/or as integrated in planned workouts.

Sound volume is not adjustable.

On routes with turn by turn cues

LEDs blink in the direction of upcoming turns.

In Strava Live Segments

The LEDs notify you when approaching a segment, when the segment starts, whether you're ahead or behind your PR or KOM, and finally when the segment ends. LEDs during Live Segments are not customizable.

In Planned Workouts

The center LED indicates your target. Red LEDs left of center tell you to burn it up when behind your target while blue LEDs to the right keep it cool when you're ahead. LEDs during Planned Workouts are not customizable.
