ELEMNT uses MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), a popular USB standard used by many MP3 players and Android phones. Connecting to ELEMNT over USB allows you to copy workout files (FIT files) to your PC.
- Windows: ELEMNT will automatically show up in Windows Explorer and you can browse and transfer files similar to a regular USB flash device. NOTE: You may need to copy the file to your PC before importing into applications like Golden Cheetah, importing directly from the USB may fail.
- OSX: A MTP client is required to copy files from ELEMNT. Android File Transfer by Google is one of the most popular and easiest to use clients on OSX. Download Here (https://www.android.com/filetransfer/)
- Linux: Support for MTP is via libmtp, which is generally included with popular desktop Linux distributions. On some systems, ELEMNT should also appear on your Linux desktop's file manager.
Your rides can be found in the Exports folder. You can identify the file you were looking for by the date they were saved. Once you find the correct file, copy/paste or drag it to your desktop. You can then upload the files to Strava, TrainingPeaks, or other 3rd party sites.
