So you want to do your SYSTM workout in RGT? We do too! While we're working on integrated app functionality, here is a simple way to complete your SYSTM workout and ride in RGT at the same time.
Using SYSTM and RGT
General rules to use both apps at the same time:
- connect your power and trainer control to the Wahoo SYSTM app so that the app controls the resistance on your trainer
- connect your power to the Wahoo RGT app so your avatar rides on your chosen road
- you can connect cadence to each app depending on the connection capability of your cadence sensor
- you can connect your HRM to each app depending on the connection capability of your HRM
- if you are logged into both SYSTM and RGT using the same account, both workouts will save to the Wahoo Cloud and to your SYSTM calendar. There is currently no way to merge the workouts, so you may want to delete one of the rides to maintain accurate training volume.
Device Options and Trainer Connections
The simplest way to use both SYSTM and RGT at the same time is to run each app on a different device. Here are some examples of how to use both apps at the same time:
- Run your SYSTM app on your mobile app and connect your power and trainer control via Bluetooth to SYSTM. Run your RGT app on your desktop and connect your trainer power ONLY via ANT+. You can still use your RGT Remote on your phone/tablet to steer and use voice chat - and let SYSTM run in the background.
- Run your SYSTM app on your desktop and connect your power and trainer control via ANT+. Run your RGT app on AppleTV and connect power ONLY via Bluetooth. You can steer and chat using your RGT Remote on your mobile device.
- Run your SYSTM app on your desktop and connect your power and trainer control via ANT+. Run your RGT app on your mobile device and connect your power ONLY via Bluetooth. You will not be able to use both the RGT Ride and Remote apps on the same device.
- If you use Virtual Power, connect your speed sensor to the SYSTM app on your mobile app Bluetooth and choose your virtual power trainer. Connect your speed sensor to RGT via ANT+ on desktop ONLY to ride using virtual power in RGT.
If you have a multiperipheral Bluetooth trainer, such as specific KICKR trainers or KICKR Bike, you will be able to connect your trainer to both apps using Bluetooth connections. Otherwise, you will need to connect to one app via Bluetooth and the other app via ANT+.
